Much of the home improvement work that used to occur at Jiffy came as an adjunct of our other work, e.g., doing a plaster patch and paint at the area of damage, or re-tiling a bathroom floor or wall at the area where opened to fix the plumbing behind.

For these jobs, we knew that we could do these simple repairs as good as anyone, so why subject our customers, who just has a good mechanical repair experience, onto tradesmen of whom we were unsure of?  Why shouldn’t a customer be able to go to just one provider of services for a given problem? Why couldn’t we as a company, manage the total repair job for our customer?

 From this beginning, our home improvement department has blossomed into a full-fledged remodeling operation, capable of remodeling custom kitchens, bathrooms, basements, or creating additions.
