When you have a wood burning fireplace, you will also have complete and total independence from your utility company. Getting the fuel and using it is dependent on your decision. It can also be attached to your existing ductwork to evenly distribute heat throughout your home.
A wood burning fireplace can also serve as a cook stove, which would allow for excellent, authentic cooking and even lower utility bills.
